Choosing the right amplifier

Determine which frequency your cellular carrier operates.  Click here to determine which frequency your carrier uses in your area.  We carry amplifiers for the 800MHz, the 1900MHz, or dual-band amplifiers that cover both the 800MHz and 1900MHz. Determine the size of amplifier needed.  Determining which amplifier is right for your situation depends on the size of the area you are trying to cover and the strength of the signal outside the home or building.  We carry two sizes of In-Building Wireless Amplifiers that will work with any cell phone or cellular data card.  The 50dB amplifiers are ideal for home, small office, or small buildings.  The 60 or 65dB amplifiers will cover more area (2.5 times greater coverage than the 50dB amplifiers) so are ideal for larger office buildings, warehouses or manufacturing facilities.  Also, to determine the strength of signal outside your facility, put your phone in test mode to obtain a numeric reading of signal strength.  Based on this value, our sales team can determine which systems can be used to improve your signal.

Each In-Building Wireless Amplifier System contains an amplifier and a power supply that plugs into a standard 120-volt wall outlet. You will also need at least one inside and one outside antenna and at least two lengths of coaxial cable to connect each antenna to the amplifier.

**Our 50dB amplifiers require 40 feet of separation between the inside and outside antennas, except for SOHO amplifiers which only require 25 feet of separation.  Our 60 and 65dB amplifiers require 75 feet of separation between the inside and outside antennas. **
